If you have been accepted into a college, you’ll have a few decisions to make after that. One of the things to consider is where you will live when you’re in school. While living in a dormitory might have a certain appeal, when you actually take the time to think about it, UOFSC student housing is a far better option. There are plenty of reasons why this is preferred.
It Tends to Be Cheaper
When compared to all of the costs that are associated with dorm living, a private apartment is actually generally cheaper. Not only are there extra fees such as recreation fees and meal plans, but the entire year’s room and board is due all at once. This is definitely not the case when it comes to renting a private student apartment. You pay the landlord every month just like you would with any other apartment. It is much more affordable for the average student to pay during the course of the school year.
Stay Healthy During Flu Season
When flu season hits, it is quite common for a vast number of students who are crammed into small dorm rooms to get sick. This is because once one or two people get sick, the germs spread fairly easily in the enclosed space. However, when you live in your own apartment through UOFSC student housing, you can stay home if others are sick and avoid them entirely or conversely, you can keep away from others so you do not get them sick.
