Compressor problems could put your AC system out of the running. Here are common signs it’s time to shop around for a new Danfoss Compressor:
Strange noises when your system is running
When you switch on your AC and you hear loud, strange noises from the inside, that’s a likely sign that your system is in trouble. It could be that one of the components inside is broken or your compressor’s internal bearings have failed or seized. Whatever the case, whether there’s a leak or bearing worn out and damaged from constant use, any squealing or grinding noises is a sign that it’s time to invest in a new Danfoss Compressor.
It’s much colder
When your compressor is compromised, it prevents your AC from generating cold air as efficiently as it once did. Your system won’t be able to regulate the refrigerant flow in the unit, so there’s less cold air coming out of your AC, says Your Mechanic.
Stuck compressor clutch
If your clutch is stuck, that means the pulley won’t be able to move. If it’s broken, then that effectively cuts off your compressor from engine power. Depending on the extent of the damage, you can choose to replace the clutch. However, installing a new compressor system seems to produce the best results.
Moisture around your AC
Leaks from your AC can be caused by damage to your refrigerant. This could result in serious health risks, though, so you’ll need to have this repaired as soon as possible. However, if the problem happens to be with your drain tube, the problem is less urgent. That doesn’t mean it’s less important, though. If the damage is severe, you might need to install a new compressor system instead.
These problems could really put you in an uncomfortable spot. So be wise to the signs and start shopping for a replacement sooner rather than later.
