The spirit of sportsmanship is known for factors like dedication, discipline, undaunted desire to rise against all odds, motivation, fighting attitude, go-getting strategy and reverence to a set of rules, regulations and norms. Based on such theme is the F1 Grand Prix Circuit, where F1 stands as an acronym for Formula One, which is the highest class open-wheeled auto racing governed by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). “Formula” are the set of regulations which all contestants and vehicles must follow.

The first Grand Prix was held in 1950 and from then onwards 71 circuits have hosted the Grand Prix.

A brief description of the same is summarized below:

  • The Adelaide Circuit, which is a Street Circuit in Australia has held 11 Australian Grand Prix from 1985-1995
  • 5 British Grand Prixs were held in Aintree Road Circuit in UK
  • The Albert Park Race Circuit was famous for holding 21 Australian Grand Prix from 1996-2016
  • From 1984-1996, 13 Grand Prixs were held in Autodromo do Estoril Race Circuit in Portugal
  • Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari Race Circuit held 10 Brazilian Grand Prixs in 1978 and then from 1981-1989
  • In Argentina, the Race Circuit of Autodromo Juan y Oscar Galvez showcased 20 Argentine Grand Prixs
  • Autodromo Nazionale Monza in Italy was the Race Circuit that held 66 Grand Prix
  • Bahrain International Race Circuit in in Bahrain was host to 12 Grand Prix from 2004-2010 and 2012-2016
  • The new and state of the art Buddha International Race Circuit in India held 3 Grand Prix from 2011-2013
  • The Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya Race Circuit held 26 Grand Prix from 1991-2016
  • 63 Grand Prixs were held in The Street Circuit of Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo

The famous F1 sportspersons are Narayan Kartikeyan of India, Michael Schumacher of Germany, Mika Hakkinen from Finland, Fernando Alonso of Oviedo and Aryton Senna of Brazil (Late) to mention a special few.

The F1 Grand Prix Circuit has been held across the world since 1950. A lot of famous sportsmen are known to have participated in the same.
